PRESS RELEASE:
Homeopathy Film Festival Coming To Western Mass
A first-ever Homeopathy Film Festival will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 1PM – 6PM at the Academy of Music in Northampton, Massachusetts. The event will feature two provocative documentary films, “Magic Pills” by Ananda More and “Just One Drop” by Laurel Chiten, a UMass Amherst Communication Studies graduate.
Following the screenings there will be a live Q&A with both filmmakers. The event also features local and national health-related vendors. Movie goers will receive complimentary information and product samples from several vendors as well as meet local homeopaths.
Abby Beale, co-organizer of the festival, is a nationally certified classical homeopath and current Board President of the National Center for Homeopathy. “It’s been our vision to bring these documentaries together in Western MA. We want to bring awareness of and create interest in homeopathy as a complimentary healing modality. Anyone who is interested in a more natural approach to their health as well as those interested in learning about another option to pharmaceutical medicine will find a lot to consider through this event.”
Heather Welch-Smith, also a nationally certified classical homeopath and co-organizer of the event, says, “We continue to see the rate of disease in American’s climbing and onset at younger and younger ages. I feel it’s important to understand the variety of complementary medicines available, their efficacy, and to know that people have a choice in their healthcare.”
Homeopathy is a 200+ year old healing modality known worldwide but stirs up controversy in the medical community. Many users have found homeopathy to be life-changing, contrary to what others say, claiming that its effectiveness is highly exaggerated. What is the real story behind homeopathy? Is it right for you? Come learn the facts and decide for yourself.
Tickets are $25. through December 15th, and $33 thereafter on the Academy of Music website, www.aomtheater.com. Group pricing is available for 10 or more.
